Upper motor neuron: Babinsky reflex normal response shoulpd be flexion of the toes and with an upper motor neuron lesion you will get dorsiflexion of the bigtoe and fanning of the toes. You should have a second opinion with a neurologist.

Dr. Corey Fox answered

Spine or brain: Babinski reflex suggests an upper motor neuron disorder. Since the spinal column and the brain are organized into "halves, " one-sided babinski suggests a lesion on one side of the spinal cord, brainstem, or brain. It could be as simple as an entrapped nerve or as serious as a stroke. Neurology consult is strongly recommended.
