Absolutely: Could have caused it the first time. Hard to know exactly why crps occurs after some injuries and not all of them or even most. Please get a full eval,by a PMR or orthopoedist to make certain your diagnosis is correct and not a missed fracture or nerve entrapment. And, we are assuming the pain is in the injures limb
