It : It is likely that you have caused some minor scratches on the surface of your cornea from wearing the contacts overnight. It can also be a more major problem, but the only way to know is to call your eye doctor, tell them that you are having a problem, and get examined. Do not wear the contact lenses until you are cleared by your doctor!

The : The lessons here are that it is not good to sleep in your contact lenses and that if they are bothering you, they should be removed. Don't ever wear your contact lenses if your eyes are bothering you! see an eye doctor if they do not improve quickly. It can take as little as 24 hours for an infection in your cornea to melt into the eye in some cases.
