A member asked:

I am planning to get iol intraocular lens. has anyone had problems with this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not: The introduction of an intraocular lens to replace the removed (cataractous) natural lens is now the standard of care in eye surgery. There are some options regarding multifocal (premium) lenses which your surgical ophthalmologist can discuss. But the risks are tiny; the results generally excellent and most problems can be fixed even though they are very uncommon.
