Discuss with surgeon: There are a variety of intraocular lenses available at this time. All have their own advantages and disadvantages. You and your surgeon should discuss the type of lens that will give you the type of vision you desire.

Patient : The traditional mono-focal standard lens that only corrects for one distance. Presbyopic lens that are newer lens that corrects both distance and near. Toric lens corrects astigmatism. Both toric and presbyopic lenses are not covered by the insurance. Please discuss the options with your doc. Your doc advice and inform you on the lens options and you will make the final decision
