Diet, exercise: Bone loss in premenopausal women can be prevented by proper diet, adequate vitamin d and calcium, exercise, avoidance of cigarettes. Minimal alcohol intake and avoidance of excessive thyroid hormone therapy.

Prevent gum bleeding: Periodontal disease and poor occlusion is the only two reason that would lead to bone loss around the teeth. Thus we must prevent gum disease and restore our dentition to a good, proper optimal occlusion.
