Hordeolum: Infections can occur in the eyelid edge where eyelashes protrude. Typical symptoms could include redness and tenderness, light sensitivity, and tearing. A white pimple will usually appear and this will typically pop and drain. This condition typically resolves without therapy however, warm compresses may help and a topical ointment called Bacitracin might be helpful. See your primary care md first.
