How do you remove a conjunctival eye cyst?

Excision: A benign conjunctival cyst that causes associated irritation or is large enough to be bothersome, can be excised under local or topical anesthesia. I do these in my office under an operating microscope, and i generally have to place an absorbable suture to secure the wound.

Conjunctival cyst: Depending on the size. A small conjunctival cyst can be removed by incising with a small needle and is painless. A larger one may need to be incised and the entire cyst sack be removed. This takes a little longer, but with the right drops and possibly a small injection of Lidocaine is painless also. Both can be performed under topical drops without pain.
