Swelling & redness: After removing an ingrown toenail, swelling, bruising and redness is normal. What is important is the decrease in pain. It might take 2-3 weeks for the redness and swelling in your toe to subside, depending on how long you have had the ingrown nail and what type of procedure you had to remove it.
