Less likely but ...: Not impossible. The birth control pill helps keep your uterus lining from growing too thick. So it's less likely for you to get endometrial [uterus lining] polyps. If your periods are heavy or you're spotting between periods, please talk with your doctor.

Endometrial polyps: Although the endometrial lining is thinned out by the Progesterone component of the birth control pill, polyps can still form.
