A member asked:

If i have an endometrial polyp and i have it removed, could i get polyps again? i dont plan on having kids, would a hysterectomy be a good option?

Endometrial polyps are typically benign and will usually cause bleeding irregularities. Based on age, risk factors and ultrasound findings, the risk of more concerning diagnosis should be weighed when deciding what treatment option to pursue. A simple hysteroscopy should be able to remove any polyps and provide reassurance that there are no additional abnormalities of the endometrium.
