Tendonitis,Bursitis: Tendonitis, bursitis rotator cuff tear arthritis frozen shoulder injury to the shoulder. Are the most common problem effect the shoulder joint itself. Other reasons for shoulder pain is refer pain from some place else, heart gallbladder and neck problem.

Can't tell: There can be many causes for your shoulder pain and you need it formally evaluated. The number of etiologies is large.
