I have some kind of mild achilles tendonitis, but i don't want to stop dancing. what should i do?

Rest: You may want to rest your tendon. That does not mean that you should stop dancing forever, but for a little while to allow your body to heal itself. Icing the tendon along with wearing a heel lift can help. Stretching prior and after your dance routine also helps . I highly recommend you see a podiatrist for further evaluation and recommendations.

You may: Have to rest if the tendonitis becomes worse. Most mild achilles tendonitis can be treated and you can continue to dance.

Newer treatments: I suggest treating this sooner rather than later. I have been dealing with this condition myself for over five years, which was refractory to stretches, heel lifts, ANS eccentric strengthening. Newer treatments including ultrasounded guided tenotomy & prp really helped me. People are also now using stem cell treatments as well.
