Yes, but also...: Iron pills are often poorly absorbed and cause side effects, so obtaining iron from your diet is a good strategy. Chicken & beef liver are good choices but i strongly advise organically-raised animals. Other good sources of iron include beans, lentils, tofu, spinach, raisins, clams, oysters, beef & chicken.
