A member asked:

How do i keep myself from feeling guilty about smoking a cigarette after two years?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't smoke it!: But, if you do smoke a single cigarette after two years of being a non-smoker, guilt is not appropriate if you haven't violated anyone's rights. Perhaps what you might feel is disappointment with yourself for failing to stick to your goals. But, if you don't continue smoking after the one cigarette, the matter is really a small one and won't adversely affect your health by much. Stick to it!
