A member asked:

I am 46, smoking since last 25 years, average 8-10 cigarettes a day, how much damage it has done and how to reverse it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stop: The damage varies from person to person. Most importantly, stop, if you can, and let what lung remains heal. Cancers of all types are a risk you can only improve if you are successful in stopping. Don't give up, even if you fail many times. Just keep trying until you succeed. Then never take a puff again.
