What constitutes a delusional disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Delusional d/o: Is a condition characterized by nonbizarre delusions (false belief strongly held in spite of invalidating evidence) involving situations that occur in real life (being followed, poisoned, infected, loved at a distance, or deceived by spouse or lover, or having a disease) of at least 1 month’s duration. The individual can not have schizophrenia or other psychiatric condition causing the delusion.
