History and Physical: We all do the same things on every visit. We ask questions and then do a physical. At adolescent visits you can expect to be asked about starting your period, about drinking, smoking, friends, school, what makes you happy, how you get along with family etc. Many ask about pelvics and they are not a routine part of a 14 year well visit in a teen who is not sexually active.

Physical exam: Most important thing is history. How have things been for you in the past year or two. What concerns do you have? Then have discussion on puberty and changes that either have happened or soon will happen to her body. Then the psychological pressures she may undergo as she physically matures and how to resist them. Hoe to become a responsible adult and to assure her that you are a safe haven 4 her.
