Tylenol (acetaminophen): Tylenol (acetaminophen) is the recommended pain reliever for post gastric bypass patients. Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, advil, alleve can cause bad gastric ulcers if taken chronically. Your bariatric surgeon can also give you some prescription pain meds.

Cox-2inhibitors and.: Celebrex is safe, but may not be needed. Salsalate is a drug few doctors use which does hurt the gitra t or effect bleeding. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is a quick pain relief option.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) best: Tylenol (acetaminophen) is best. Celebrex has a much lower ulcer risk than advil, motrin, alleve, or aspirin. Hydrocodone can be used safely. Also, there are a variety of topical agents that might be used.
