Reflux vs. infection: Notify your surgeon immediately about cough or see primary care physician. If not treated your cough can cause delay in doing surgery, unless it was addressed before.

Reflux: Morbid obesity often leads to both sleep anea and refux. Try sleeping with you head upright until the surgery and see if that helps.
