Excellent question: But one that cannot be answered as we don't know the condition for which you are receiving methotrexate. 2.5 mg is at the low end of doses for methotrexate. Have you discussed your concerns with the physician who prescribed this medication? If you have & would like a 2nd opinion see another doctor who can fully evaluate you and give a sensible answer. Everyone is entitled to a second opinion.
