Need to see Doc: Lymph nodes swelling can be due to different reasons, including chronic infections like fungal, tuberculosis, tumor, lymphoma, etc. Hence, it needs complete evaluation by your physician/ ENT asap. It sounds chronic inflammation however, recurrent infections may also cause chronic inflammation of lymph nodes.

Yes, it is possible: It is possible to have swollen or enlarged lymph nodes in the neck for a year. It is not typical, nor do we usually let it go uninvestigated. Infections should not go on of that long. Start with a vist to your primary provider. You may also need to see an ENT for work-up and biopsy.
