Lymph nodes: There are many noticeable lymph nodes in the body & in kids those in the neck are often noticed during or after illnesses.When unstimulated they are often the 1/2 cm in size & with stimulation often are 3-4 cm or larger. Rarely they can become abscessed & need surgical removal.The growth /decline pattern per illness takes 3-4 wks but overlapping illness or even bug bites can keep them noticable.
