Tooth infection: Often abcesses of the maxillary teeth demonstrate sweeling in the palate. It is most common in the back area of the mouth. Clogged mucous and salivary glands can also form bumps. Bruises and viral vesicles are also posible explanations. Cancer can also cause lumps on the palate though much less frequent than the prior reasons.
