Get it checked: It hard to say but could be torus palatinus but these usually aren't painful unless its injured. Beat bet is to get it checked. It might need to be biopsied.

Have it looked at: It ciould be a blocked gland, physical trauma, allergic reaction or cancer. Have it looked at!
