Placing ice bag beside the jaw where wisdom tooth is being removed , can it help stop bleeding?

Not much: The ice is intended to help minimize the postoperative swelling. Light biting pressure on some folded gauze sponges placed directly over the extraction site will help reduce the bleeding.
