Bleeding: It's not uncommon to have some minimal oozing of blood, even three days after an extraction. Even a drop of blood mixes with saliva and can look worse than it really is. If you have anything more than that or are concerned call and speak to the dentist who removed the tooth.

Pressure: The tissue keep bleeding because the tiny vessels are not closing, you need to keep pressure on the area and don't disturb it for at least 24 h ( no brushing or rinsing the site ). Biting on a tea bag (wet in warm water) for 20 min at a time can help. A deficiency in vit k or other blood condition can affect the clotting as well. Check with your dr.Hope this helps, dr. Control any bleeding: Your dentist gave you a package of gauze and instructions how to control any bleeding. Use the gauze pad placed on the socket and keep firm pressure for 30-40 min.Repeat this procedure as needed till the bleeding stops. Avoid spiting or rinsing your mouth, avoid smoking, hot liquids and do not blow your nose. If concerned see your dentist for post-op appointment.
