Shouldn't!: You can, but you shouldn't - it only ever happens by mistake, we try hard to avoid this. When it does happen, the studies suggest that 9 out of 10 times the pregnancy proceeds normally, but still should avoid it!

Careful with HSG: A hsg or hysterosalpingogram is a test done by radiology. A radio-opaque dye is inserted through the cervix and hopefully through the uterus and fallopian tubes. An x-ray of the pelvis is taken while infusing the dye. This is usually done to evaluate the patency of the fallopian tubes. An abnormal test may indicate that one or both tubes are closed. Do not have an hsg if pregnant.
