I have been having a swollen, red and tender toe for 2+ months. it is worse in the morning and after walking or standing. the doctor says its psoriatic arthritis. i've never had lesions. what should i do?

Skin lesions : Skin lesions are not always necessary for psoriatic arthritis, or they can recede before the arthritis manifests. Very minor lesions can easily be missed.

See below: You don't need to have lesions, changes in the nails can still be seen.
