PT and Bracing: Unfortunately the injury you have sustained is very deforming and hard to recover from. I would recommend physical therapy and possible bracing. Now a days the braces are really thin and not noticeable. They can really help.

See doctor: It sounds like you need an evaluation and exam and possibly a prescription brace to control the ankle.
