Many things: We check your urine for a couple of reasons. First, infection. Uti's can be silent in pregnancy. Second, we check the glucose. If it is really high you may be at risk for diabetes.

Easy: Many diseases can be discover with a non invasive urine dip. Diabetes, kidney disease even some cancers. Cheaper than a ct scan.
