Is it true that a doctor will test my urine for thc at a routine check up?

No: But if the "check-up" is related to any transportation related job the answer changes to yes. All dot, faa, uscg and similar exams do require drug testing and thc and its metabulites are tested for.As are cocaine, pcp, opiates & amphetamines.

Depends: In most states you must actually sign a waver before you are tested for drugs by any means. If you go in for a work physical, you sign that as part of your application for employment & that is a common setting where it may be done. It is not done for a regular checkup, where the urine is tested primarily to see how well your kidneys work.
