Brush and rinse: Ideally brushing your teeth and flossing after drinking soda. Although not always practical. Drinking water after would help to remove the acid from the mountain dew.

Don't sip all day: Sodas contain a lot of sugar and are acidic. This combination is tough on teeth. Minimize the exposure. If you are going to enjoy a soda, drink it at meal time. Do not sip on a soda all day long.

Water: Chase your dew with water every time you drink it. And do not sip the dew all day long. Drink it rinse with the water chaser and be done.
