Graft : If a bit too much bone is removed, the toe can shorten noticeably. This usually isn't a functional problem, other than catching in socks or stockings if it is flail. If it is too troublesome, a small amount of bone could be grafted to lengthen the toe. It's a tricky procedure because the toe is very small and results aren't guaranteed, so think carefully before proceeding.
