A member asked:

Can a diabetic , donate a kidney.?

Probably not: It would not be a good idea to donate a kidney as, having diabetes yourself, your own kidneys are at risk of developing disease from diabetes in the long run. I doubt that any transplant programs would consider you as a donor.

No: If you have diabetes, transplant programs will not consider you as a potential kidney donor.

NO: DM is a contraindication to donation. But your generosity is profound. Wish we had more donors like you. Take care.
