Can you still donate a kidney if you have a family history of diabetes?

Yes, but: The big picture matters more. How strong is the family history, how healthy otherwise is the donor, & how good is the match are issues that matter whole lot.

Yes: You are at a higher risk of developing diabetes and consequent kidney disease; but barring other factors (it is a long check list that transplant physicians will go thru to make sure), a family history of diabetes by itself does not preclude anyone from donating a kidney.
