Poor glucose control: No food is harmful, poor diabetic control is harmful! . A diet of protein and vegetables with low glycemic fruits are best for good control. Deserts and sugar substitutes should be avoided. As a non diabetic, i never eat desert, aside from being unhealthy, there is no nutritional value. A pointless waste of calories other than pure indulgememt discipline necessary for all, not just diabetics.
