Sickness/virus: You may have a bug whether that be bacterial or viral. Some of the bumps on the back of your tongue may be inflammed taste buds, there is a row of large ones back there. Scrub the area and keep it clean. It may help to gargle with salt water, but i would go see your dentist or a physician to see if it may be strept or viral.

See your Dentist: There are normal bumps found on the sides and back of the tongue called circumvallate papilla. Various possibilities exist for them to get inflamed and enlarged. It would be best to see your dentist for an examination and diagnosis of your specific condition.
