how do you take ppi w/ nsaid if you have peptic ulcer? which ppi drug/dose do you recommend if someone w/ peptic ulcer must on max dose of nsaid?

Avoid NSAID if able: I would minimize NSAID use and/or consider a cox-2 alternative. Hpylori needs to be excluded and treated if present. With this i would rec high dose ppi bid for 6-8 weeks and then if PUD healed decrease to once a day.
