Do herniated discs at l5-s1 cause pain in testicles?

Sometimes: L5-s1 disc herniation can cause pain that radiates into the buttock, groin, back of the thigh, back of the leg, and into the foot. The groin pain can sometimes cause testicular pain. Other causes of testicular pain include testicular torsion, tumors, hernias, hip disease, etc.

Not typically but : Disorders of the l5-s1 facet joints can cause pain to radiate to that area as can hernias, hip problems as well as problems with the testicles like an inflammation or infection and even testicular torsion which is a twisting of the testicle leading to severe pain and is a surgical emergency so you should see your doctor if the pain is bad and is worsening.
