Could be.: But not likely at your age unless you have first degree relatives with colon cancer. If the blood is bright red and at the end of the stool or only coating the stool ( vice incorporated into the stool) this is likely due to hemorrhoid. Dark red blood, sticky blood or blood in the stool are some reasons to have further evaluation.
