What is the difference between hyperacidity and heartburn?

Same thing: You may be speaking of the same thing. Increased acid production in the stomach may be a cause of the symptom of heartburn. Heartburn is the term we use to describe the pain that we feel as a result of increased acid production, or if that stomach acid is allowed to come up into the esophagus due to a hiatal hernia or other causes.
