How long is it safe to take pantoprazole for acidity?? i suffer from hyperacidity every other day, i am not able to control it via diet control, & anxiety adds up more fuel to it, resulting in gerd & damages my throat lining as well. 40 mg is it safe?

You can take for 2 months then stop. You can use famotidine or cimetidine if symptoms recur after stopping pantoprazole; these histamine 2 blockers are safer than proton pump inhibitor in the long run.
