What causes gastritis? what is difference between gastritis n gerd?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Site: Gastritis is the irritation seen on the lining of the stomach from acid or other offending agents such as pain meds and alcohol, all related to acid. Gerd is when the stomach content with acid in it goes back up to the esophagus and cause irritation there. They can coexist.
