There are different.: ..."sprays" used for different purposes. There are rescue medications like albuterol that help open narrow airways when breathing is labored. There are inhaled steroids used to control inflammation adn cut down on the need for rescue medicines. There are combination medicines that open airways and decrease inflammation. This is something you should discuss with your doctor.

You need to be: Monitored by your physician . He will need to prescribe you a bronchodilator and or inhaled steroids depends on severity.Compliance is very important

Controller&reliever: Asthma is an inflammatory disease of the lungs and it produces secretions and narrowing of the brochi you need controller medication like inhaled steroids and/or singular by mouth to control the inflammation and for bronchospasm you use reliever meds like albuterol or xopenex there are also combination inhalers like advair, Dulera (formoterol and mometasone) or symbocort discuss with you doctor what is appropriate for you.
