A member asked:

Can using anti bacterial spray several times a week without the window open but in a room that is medium sized cause asthma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Trigger vs cause: If you have or develop asthma, it is likely in your genes and that of other family members. It may show up in early childhood or later. There are a variety of triggers:weather changes, infections, environmental irritants. Chlorine gas will make everyone wheeze at the right dose. Any chemical spray could trigger an event. However, that does not give asthma to someone who does not have it.
