Odds are high: Ischemic strokes occasionally but not usually cause headaches. Embolic strokes (such as from endocarditis) more often cause headaches. Cerebral bleeds, often caused by emboli, usually provoke headaches. Infectious or parainfectious vasculitis may be result of endocarditis causing persisting headaches. Septic aneurysms often form, can rupture. Get brain vascular imaging & consult a neurologist.
