Unlikely veins...: Hi. It's unlikely that the pain is in your veins (that would be quite atypical). More commonly sharp pains are related to nerves. An evaluation with a doctor might help tract down the cause. Would need more info about duration, triggers, associated symptoms, severity, etc... And an exam. Hope this helps!

Arm veins.: Arm veins should not be causing pain unless they are inflamed or clotted. You should see a vein specialist for an evaluation. It is impossible to say what is the cause of your pain from the description alone and the pain may not be due to your veins.
