Carpal tunnel?: The pain of a pinched median nerve can cause the distribution you mention. Usually the pain is in the thumb, index and middle fingers extending up to the forearm. Usually worse at night to point of having to get up to shake it off. Appropriate evaluation may need nerve conduction studies and possible surgical release at the wrist.

Hard to say: This would be difficult to say without more information or a physical exam. This could be anything from a nerve compression like carpal tunnel syndrome to a tendonopathy to an epicondylitis. I would recommend evaluation by a health care professional.
