Usually operated: Historically, we have taught that these cancers should be operated and especially that radiation should not be used as a substitute. Whether this is still true is a question your surgeon can answer, and may depend on the location (upper airway, genitals, other).

Surgery: Verrucous carcinoma is a subtype of squamous cell carcinoma, usually low grade, involving oral cavity, anogenital, skin (plantar foot). Surgical resection is the preferred treatment.
